How are weights and starter status determined?  The college that I follow had two wrestlers weights and their starter status reversed.  This change took place in mid January.  I presume the change happened because the team had a dual and the head coach reversed the two wrestlers to increase the chances of winning match points.  This was a one time change.  Before and since that event, the wrestlers went back to their usual weight classes.  When I atttempt to reverse their weights, I get the error message: "Forbidden"  "You do not have the permissions required to view the requested page"  Also, when attempting to change the starter status under Teams Options/Update Starters, I get the message: "You are not allowed to make this change at this time.  Try again next month".

BTW, I love this website and refer to it daily.  Unfortunately the incorrect weight division for the wrestlers I follow prevents me from doing wrestling comparisons for their upcoming matches.

Hey Jim, we had too many users making nefarious weight changes, so we restricted it to just us WrestleStat admins. From the update starters page, there's just another layer of security blocking users from making the change during the month of March (because of conference and national tournament). There are numerous pages, as well as the 1 (or 2) fantasy features that require the specific starters to be set, and if they are changed, it screws stuff up big time.

Now, regarding the weights for the 2 wrestlers...those are all handled manually by us (99% by obrats). We do have processes to try and "guess" the weight based on prior match results, but I didn't think it did that during the middle of the season...only off season when we transition wrestlers to their next "profile season".

If you let me know the 2 wrestlers, I can look into it and see how/why they changed.

    Thanks!
